It's a Vintage Extravaganza!
The vintage extravaganza fashion show at the Bradford Playhouse showcased some of the finest vintage clothing Bradford has to offer. Organised by the House of Rose and Brown, Saltaire, in association with the Bradford Playhouse, Little Germany, some 78 outfits were showcased.
The collections showcased were a host of stunning vintage outfits ranging from 1920’s flapper dresses to 1980’s lurex tops. Included in the show were some stunning pieces from the playhouse’s own Wardrobe collection, including a 1970’s kaftan and a selection of beautiful ball gowns.
All of the pieces from the House of Rose and Brown were available to purchase on the day, and judging by the crowds flocking to the stall in the bar after the show, the event was a roaring success. Pieces from the Bradford Playhousewere also available to buy or to hire, including a stunning vintage satin black and red dress copied from a Georgian pattern – perfect for an individual woman looking for something a little different.
Caroline Brown, self confessed vintage doyenne and proprietor of House of Rose and Brown, has a vintage shop in Saltaire. A perfect homage to days gone by, it houses plenty of bargains and special pieces that you wont find anywhere else.
